I tried this for the first time, it came out pretty awesome... Loved the taste of Methi. I couldn't imagine a better way to get my family eat all that healthy Methi another way. So, if you have a family like mine, where the green leaves have to be totally invisible this is "the" recipe you are looking for.
So, what you need..
Oil - 2-3 tablespoons
Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
Onion- 2 medium
Tomatoes - 2 large or 3 medium
Green Chillies - 2-3
Ginger garlic - 1 tablespoon of each, crushed ( I use a pester mortar)
Chicken - 1 kg ( I used boneless thighs )
Curd -1/2 cup
Methi leaves - nice bunch
Coriander leaves - a handful
Chilli powder - 1 table spoon
Corriander powder - 1 table spoon
masala powder - 1 tablespoon
Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
tumeric - 1 teaspoon
Method
1. Heat oil, add cumin seeds, onion, green chillies, ginger garlic and sauté well, then add the tomatoes.
2. Add the powders and sauté well.
3. Add the curd bring down the flame and close and cook for 5 minutes.
4. Add the chopped methi leaves
5. Add salt.
6. Add the clean chicken. Close and cook.
7. Add the chopped coriander leaves. Switch off the flame !
Yay ! its done ! Now just enjoy it with some nice hot chappathis or rice.
Cook the gravy and throw the methi leaves in...
Add the clean chicken to the gravy and toss it...
Then cook it till its done... :-)
